The course will use a minimum of classroom lectures with a maximum of realistic and practical field training exercises to provide a full understanding of close protection operations worldwide. The CPO Course includes the overall knowledge within ‘Business’ and ‘Dignitary’ areas of Close Protection, and its training program is based on the proven training methods.

This qualification is appropriate for individuals working in the security sector specializing in close protection. It demonstrates that a candidate has displayed the knowledge, understanding, and skills learners need to be employed in a hostile country, armed.

It allows opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities, and attitudes essential for successful performance in working lifealong with the safe operation and understanding of weapon systems.

This course concludes with the award of the CPO Advanced Certificate by The Irish Security Institute, approved by the PSA (Private Security Authority). Successful completion confers the Advanced Certificate Close Protection CPO Certificate (CPTAC24) —a pioneering qualification awarded by The Security Institute of Ireland.

 

Upon successful completion of the course, participants are also awarded the Executive Protection Agent Certificate.
